Estate Planning Seminar Dec. 1

Recent estate planning and charitable giving issues will be the focus of a free breakfast seminar from 7:45 to 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1 at Illinois Valley Community College.
Peru attorney Walter J. Zukowski will present the first in a series of IVCC Foundation-sponsored workshops in Room C316.
The seminar is targeted toward estate planning professionals and the public and will cover the mechanics of gifting and trust preparation. The seminar will include a brief presentation on the IVCC Foundation and a continental breakfast will be served.
Zukowski, vice chairman of the Illinois State Bar Association Section Council on Trusts and Estates, founded Zukowski Law Offices in 1988 after six years with the firm of Herbolsheimer, Lannon, Henson, Duncan & Reagan PC. Prior to that, he was a law clerk to Justice Howard C. Ryan of the Illinois Supreme Court.
Zukowski is a graduate of IVCC and the University of Illinois at Springfield, with a bachelor’s in economics. He earned his law degree and master’s in business administration from the University of Notre Dame. He has done post-graduate work at the London School of Economics and also completed post-graduate work in financial planning.
