5th Annual Irish Night Fundraiser Saturday, March 7

            Chicago’s Larkin and Moran Brothers band will perform again at the fifth annual Illinois Valley Community College Foundation Irish Night March 7 at Celebrations 150, Route 6 east of La Salle.

            The “Celtic Rat Pack” drew a record 300 guests to the 2008 celebration and helped the Foundation raise nearly $17,000. The Irish folk band features Dan, Dan Jr., Mike and Joe Larkin and Terry and Kevin Moran.

            Founded in 1995, the band has produced five CDs including “Kerry Piper Live” (2000), “Band o’ Brothers” (2003) and “Paddy” (2007).

            In addition, the event will feature a corned beef and cabbage buffet, live and silent auctions.

Event sponsors are Illinois Valley Cellular, Legat Architects and Celebrations 150. The Larkin and Moran Brothers are sponsored by Larry and Christine Huffman, Ken and Eloise Sangston, Miller Group Charitable Trust Fund and Basalay Cary & Alstadt Architects.
