Terry Judd of Hennepin was appointed to the Illinois Valley Community College Foundation board at the July meeting.
A lifelong resident of Putnam County, Judd owns Judd Properties with his brother Charles and formerly owned and operated the Hennepin Food Mart for 28 years with his wife Barb.
He is a 1971 graduate of IVCC and both his daughters attended the college.
“I have always felt that I owe a great debt to IVCC and I am honored to serve on its Foundation,” said Judd.

Judd Properties is involved in the management and ownership of real estate with an emphasis on U.S. Postal leases and single-tenant medical office facilities. The firm owns and manages properties in six states including two kidney dialysis centers in Houston and is co-developing four other dialysis centers in Colorado and Texas.

Judd is a member for the board of trustees for SMP Health Systems of Fargo, N.D. and a former chair of the St. Margaret’s Hospital board. In addition, he is President of the Putnam County Board of Health, Vice President of the Hennepin Business Association, a board member of Putnam County Achievement Services and a director at North Central Bank.

Judd fills the Foundation board vacancy of his friend and longtime director Walter Durley Boyle who died April 13 at the age of 94.

Between the board’s annual meeting and quarterly meeting, directors called fellow member Bill Strong to wish him a happy 85thbirthday. Strong was unable to attend the meeting.

In other business, directors reelected O.J. Stoutner president, Jack Cantlin of Serena vice president, Linda Grove of Morris treasurer and Donna Swiskoski of Peru secretary. The board reappointed Cantlin, Patty Godfrey of Ottawa and Stoutner to three-year director terms.
